By way of excusing my absence

I began the blogging process with enthusiasm, and wrote three blogs very quickly--almost a year ago. I thought I had much to say, but did not realize how much my shyness would inhibit my blogging. It is just very uncomfortable to write something that anyone and everyone can read! Sort of like making oneself naked before strangers. So I backed off writing, and have simply enjoyed reading the blogs of several others, especially my children. I did write a personal account of my childhood and shared it with my family--wife, children, and sibs--with strict instructions to keep it in the family! (I have no idea whether they have or not, but it made me feel better to make the request, at least.) I am still wrestling with whether to write any more on the public blog or not, but I certainly hope my family and friends don't stop their writing. I enjoy the reading. Just thought I should offer an explanation, in case anyone actually read my blogs and wondered why they started and stopped so suddenly. No, the old professor did not expire! He did tire a lot, however! Maybe later.
